Cars Insurances

1. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) – Included in all rentals

CDW is included free of charge for all vehicles. However, the renter remains financially responsible for:

• Damage to the undercarriage, mechanical components, wheels, and tires
• Damage caused by violation of Greek traffic laws
• Lost or damaged keys

Excess amounts per category:

• Categories A, B: €500
• Categories C, D, E1, F: €700
• Categories E2, J7, J9: €1200

2. Gold Insurance – FDW (Full Damage Waiver)

This insurance reduces your financial responsibility in case of damage to the rental vehicle. The maximum amount you may be charged (Excess) and whether a deposit is required depends on the vehicle category.

Not Covered:

• Undercarriage damage
• Mechanical components
• Glass parts, mirrors, tires
• Lost or damaged keys

Note: A valid credit or debit card in the driver’s name is required.

Group A & B (2016–2023 models)

Age Group 26–69:

• Excess: €120
• Deposit: €0 (Zero Deposit)

Age Group 22–25:

• Excess: €120
• Deposit: €0 (Zero Deposit)

Group C (2016–2023 models)

• Excess: €120
• Deposit: €0 (Zero Deposit)

Group C1 – D – E1 (2021–2023 models)

• Excess: €250
• Deposit: €250

Group E2 – J7 – J9 (2018–2023 models)

• Excess: €700
• Deposit: €700

Additional Notes:

• In the event of an accident, the customer must immediately contact Easy Car Corfu and the police for the insurance to remain valid.
• A €25 + VAT administration fee applies for any damage or accident report.
• Damage to the undercarriage, mechanical parts, and lost keys is never covered by the insurance.
• All FDW plans require a credit or debit card, even when no deposit is charged.

3. Platinum Insurance – SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver)

Our Platinum Insurance offers Zero Excess, meaning you will not be charged for damages covered by the policy in the event of an accident.

Not Covered:

• Damage to the undercarriage
• Damage to mechanical components
• Lost or damaged keys
• Damage caused by traffic law violations, off-road driving, or negligence

Requirements:

A valid credit card in the driver’s name is required (no American Express).

Not available to:

• Drivers under 26 years old
• Drivers over 69 years old

Driver Age Restrictions & Insurance Requirements

Drivers 22–25 years old – Categories A & B

• Must purchase Gold Insurance (FCDW) with €250 excess
• Deposit Required:
  • €250 with credit/debit card
  • €350 if paying cash

Drivers 22–25 years old – Categories C1 & D (2022 models)

• Must purchase Gold Insurance (FCDW) with €450 excess
• Deposit Required:
  • €450 with credit/debit card
  • €550 if paying cash

Drivers 19–21 years old – Group A Economy

• Must purchase Gold Insurance (FCDW) with €250 excess
• Deposit Required:
  • €250 with credit/debit card
  • €350 if paying cash
• Must hold a valid driving license for at least 1 year

Important Notes

• In case of an accident, the customer must immediately notify Easy Car Corfu and the police, otherwise the insurance becomes invalid.
• An administration fee of €25 + 24% VAT is applied in all damage or accident reports.
• Additional rental terms will be included in the rental agreement upon delivery.
• Insurance prices may vary depending on the season, but the final cost will always be displayed at the time of booking.

Scooter Insurance – CDW & FDW (Gold)

Easy Car Corfu offers two levels of insurance for scooter rentals: CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and FDW (Full Damage Waiver – Gold Insurance). All scooter rentals automatically include Third Party Insurance (3rd P.I.).

1. Third Party Insurance (3rd P.I.)

All scooter rentals include Third Party Insurance, which covers damage you may cause to other vehicles in the event of an accident.

However, no insurance coverage (including CDW or FDW) applies in the following cases:

• If the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• If the scooter is used on unpaved or off-road areas
• For damage to the underside, tires, rims, or mechanical components
• If the accident is caused by a driver not listed on the rental agreement
• If the renter fails to report the accident immediately and submit an accident report according to Greek law

The renter is financially responsible for any damage or theft (partial or total) up to the current market value of the vehicle in such cases.

2. Insurance Options

CDW – Collision Damage Waiver (included, with deposit)

• Covers third-party liability
• Requires deposit
• Excludes: damage to glass, mirrors, tires, rims, undercarriage, mechanical parts, lost/damaged keys
• Excess by scooter category:
  • 50cc–125cc: €700
  • 200cc: €900
  • 300cc: €1100

FDW – Full Damage Waiver (Gold Insurance – no deposit)

• Optional upgrade with reduced excess and no deposit
• Requires a valid credit or debit card
• Excludes the same items as CDW
• Excess by scooter category:
  • 50cc–125cc: €150
  • 200cc: €300
  • 300cc: €450

3. Driver Age & Insurance Requirements

Drivers aged 19 to 22 may rent only 50cc scooters, and must:

• Hold a driving license for at least 1 year
• Purchase FDW insurance, with €250 excess
• Pay a €250 guarantee (via card) or €450 cash if no card is available
• Add a €25 administration fee + 24% VAT

Drivers aged 23 to 25 may rent 125cc scooters, under the same insurance conditions.

Drivers 26 years and older may rent 200cc or 300cc scooters:

• With FDW (no deposit) or
• With CDW, which requires a €700 deposit

Drivers under 26 cannot rent without valid FDW insurance.

For renters without a card, the following cash deposit applies:

• 50cc–125cc: €500
• 200cc: €600
• 300cc: €700

All subject to €25 admin fee + 24% VAT

4. Accident Procedure

In the event of any type of accident (collision, diversion, scratch, etc.), the renter must:

• Immediately contact the police and Easy Car Corfu
• Provide a police accident report
• Complete and sign an accident declaration form upon return

Pay a €25 administration fee + 24% VAT

Failure to follow this procedure will result in full liability for the damage, regardless of fault.

5. Additional Terms

• The scooter must be driven only by drivers listed in the rental agreement
• Use for racing, wheelies, or sand/off-road riding is strictly prohibited
• The scooter must be locked when left unattended
• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level
• Delays over 2 hours are charged as an extra rental day
• No refunds after the contract is signed

6. Final Note

Insurance prices may vary seasonally, but the final cost and terms are always clearly displayed during online booking and confirmed in the rental agreement upon delivery.
